My journey as a Coach began in 2000 when I worked for several companies helping people transition to careers they love. I earned a minor in Business Management from Western Washington University as well as a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. I also obtained almost two years of training as a Mental Health Counselor. Although I enjoyed counseling, I realized that my true passion was helping people find more passion in their lives. Coaching is a better fit for me because it focuses on future results instead of past problems.
There were a few years I turned my back on my passions and took a job in sales. Although I made good money and got the sales and marketing training I needed, I HATED my job. Life is too short and too precious to spend it doing work you hate! For the last few years I have been working with a Department of Labor program as a Career Development Specialist, teaching a course I designed, educating people how to set and achieve career and personal goals. I have over 10 years of experience coaching and have helped hundreds of people create plans for living a life they love.
Personal development has been a huge passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Devouring personal development books, seminars, podcasts, blogs, and anything else I can get my hands on is my favorite pastime. I am fortunate to be involved with a company that has the most complete personal development system on the market. The other things I am passionate about are my family, reading and golf. I live in Kansas City, MO with my beautiful wife Kelly, my children; Tyler, Jake and Claire, Fred (gecko), Lightning (Dove), and Chloe (the crazy cat).
